Pattaya is awash with some real hidden treasures that tend not to be known by the general public or those that are here on holiday.
The well-known sois such as LK Metro and Walking Street are where the masses tend to flock but if you venture out a little further you can find some real gems hidden away.
Although maybe not too hidden away, there are some excellent bars in the Pratamnak area along with some great restaurants if you are looking for a decent meal before you head out for the bright lights of Pattaya. The Soul Restaurant and Bar is a perfect example where you can enjoy food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. For sports fans, there is the Sports Lounge on Pratamnak Soi 1 is the ideal option whilst those looking to enjoy the company of some beautiful ladies there is the Kinnaree Gentleman’s Club between sois 4 and 5.
The Endless Lounge Bar is a newcomer to Soi Buakhao but has a great selection of stunning ladies and 9 huge TVs. The Den on Soi Chaiyapoon is getting a growing reputation for being a classy gentleman’s club and on Soi Lengkee you have the very discrete La Poste Bar Club for those who prefer their nocturnal activities to remain quiet. Waka Waka Agogo on Soi 13/4 is one of the lesser known agogos so again an option if discretion is key to your evening’s entertainment.
If you head to South Pattaya The Caddy Shack is another fantastic place to line your stomach before your night truly begins. Again for the evening if you are looking for the company of some young ladies, you could head to the Camel Toe off Soi Kophai, a gentleman’s club where you will find it very easy to relax. Of course, Walking Street is in this area so you could try some of the bars on the smaller sois off the main drag.
There aren’t too many hidden treasures in North Pattaya although if you are looking for a relaxing and satisfying massage you could try Playtime Massage on Soi Paniad Chang. On a similar theme, close to Central Marina you will also find a couple of Soapy Massage venues that are open to men, women and couples.
In Jomtien, you have a couple of milder but still very enjoyable bars that are a little less known, especially if you aren’t from the area in KitKat Bar and the popular Hemingway’s which most people will remember as Shenanigans. Jomtien and Dongtan Beach area in particular, are popular with the homosexual community. Here you will find a selection of hidden away bars where likeminded people can meet.
Naturally, East Pattaya and Mabprachan are the areas where many people who live in downtown Pattaya rarely visit. The Kik Bar at the top of Soi Khao Talo is a popular place for a quiet drink if you are looking to relax and the Loft Sports Pub and Grill is an excellent place to start your evening. The Mango Pub on Soi Khao Noi is the perfect spot to unwind away from the hustle and bustle with very reasonably priced lady drinks.
