Why we recommend it
A newer room that got the fundamentals right: real air conditioning, music at a sensible volume, a good pool table, and a kitchen that cooks chips and batter from scratch.
Our review
The setup is what people notice first, comfortable furnishings, proper cooling, screens for the sport and a well-maintained table, all without the shabbiness that usually comes with this kind of bar. Then the food arrives and it turns out to be the point. Fish and chips on a Friday, chilli, pie and mash, pork chop, all cooked rather than reheated, with chips that are actually chips. Non-smoking indoors, family-friendly, and open from mid-morning until midnight.
Highlights
- Friday fish and chips
- Non-smoking, properly air conditioned
- Good pool table and sports screens
- Mid-morning until midnight, seven days
