Why we recommend it
Refined Thai in a room full of orchids, with a kitchen that will genuinely adapt dishes rather than just nodding at the request.
Our review
The fried sea bass in red curry is the dish to order, built on kaffir lime, lemongrass and coconut in the right proportions. The salads, particularly banana flower and pomelo, are where the kitchen shows its hand. Vegetarian and vegan diners are properly looked after rather than tolerated. Cold towels on arrival, dim lighting in the evening, and open from midday if you want it as a long lunch instead.
Highlights
- Fried sea bass in red curry
- Strong vegetarian and vegan options
- Salads worth ordering separately
- Open from midday

Thai etiquette: what actually matters
Most of what visitors worry about is fine. A smaller number of things genuinely cause offence, and one of them is a criminal offence.
