The afternoon slot is the distinction. A live band plays from mid-afternoon into the early evening, alongside a happy hour that runs the same length, which produces a busy and good-natured room at a time when most live venues have not opened. Open air with plenty of fans and some air conditioning. Later in the evening it settles into a sports bar. Straightforward, unpretentious, and priced accordingly.
