Why we recommend it
A genuine novelty in this climate and a good hour for families, provided you know what the ticket does and does not cover before you arrive.
Our review
The main hall is a large freezer holding ice sculptures, an ice bar and a slide, with a separate snow room alongside, plus an outdoor garden of white sculptures that photographs well. Children love it and the temperature change alone is worth the entry for anyone who has been in the heat for a week. Be clear-eyed about the pricing: the structure is layered, and gloves, boots and the extra activities are charged separately, which is where visitors most often feel caught out. Budget for the extras and it is an enjoyable hour; expect them included and it will annoy you.
Highlights
- Ice hall, snow room and outdoor sculpture garden
- Strong contrast with the heat, good with children
- Gloves and boots are charged separately
- Extra activities priced on top of entry
